  • What is Sublimation Printing?
Dye-sublimation printing is a computer printing technique which uses heat to transfer dye onto materials. The dye turns into gas when brought under heat and is combined with the fabric under pressure. After cooling the dye becomes solid again and is permanently printed onto the fabric.
  • Do sublimation products last?
Nothing lasts forever, but the effects of sublimation are permanent and less prone to fading. The dye is embedded in the fabric or substrate rather than simply laying on top like a normal print or vinyl.
  • What kind of products can I sublimate on?
Fabrics – polyester (100% polyester or polyester blend). Wide range of clothing, sports apparel, fashion apparel, cycling jerseys, handbags, baseball caps etc. Other products like banner stands, exterior banners, exterior signage, upholstery, knit material, indoor flags and banners, photographic backdrops and table covers ... Although sublimation is possible on other materials such as cotton, the image will not be permanent as it is on 'man made' fabric and it isn't recommended. Rigid Substrates like aluminum, brass, glass, fiberglass, ceramic tiles, acrylic, plastic and hardboard sheet materials etc. Rigid Products like mouse pads, key chains, smartphone cases, pet bowls, light switch plates etc. Photo Printing items like magnets, canvas, wall mounts, photo-apparel, photo backdrops etc.
